Steamboat Lake

The first camping trip of the summer. Scott, Paige, Mason and I (and Rosie) headed up to Steamboat Springs this past weekend for a quick stay at the lake. The weather has been less than inviting and we were all getting a bit frustrated. It was a quick trip but we had a blast sleeping outside, cooking over the fire, fishing, running and mountain biking.

A view of SS over Howelsen Hill.
Sitting around the camp fire reminiscing about camping pastimes…
Staying dry
Yep- even I was there with photo proof:)
Frisbee time, always a good time

Summer 2023

With all my kids either at college or working, I only need to occupy myself this summer for the first time in a very long time! Of course I will be training all summer for a 50k in September but I also hope to SUP and hike as much as possible (and mountain bike and…). Today I started summer break off right with a short hike up Ten Mile Canyon.

The creek was very full!

Great start to the break😊

Graduation 2023 {Paige}

What a crazy couple of weeks its been! With school wrapping up and graduation festivities in full swing, we have been going non-stop! Paige graduated from Summit High School on May 27th. It was a lovely ceremony and so fun seeing her walk across that stage and get her well deserved diploma. She was lucky enough to have Grandma Marilyn at the ceremony and Grandma Peggy and Papa Gary watching on livestream (Grandma was sick so she unfortunately couldn’t attend). Now we are looking forward to some down time to enjoy our summer before she leaves for Western Washington University to study costume design and history.
