My babies (Sam and Alice) left this morning for a week-long mission trip to the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in South Dakota. They were so excited and I was so nervous:) No, seriously, I am super proud of both of them. All of us getting out of our comfort zone is a really good thing. Please keep them and our entire church youth group in your prayers!

Finally!
Our weather has finally taken a turn toward summer and this mama couldn’t be happier. Last night was the first mountain biking race of the summer season and it was a gorgeous night to be outside. Scott, Sam and Alice all raced their bikes and did awesome. This was Alice’s first race and she finished 4th in her age group. Super proud of all of them for sure!
Running races start next week!

That’s it!
I am moving to Mexico.
I am tired of the rainsnowsleetshit that has been happening for a month.
I am tired of everything to do with school.
I am tired of mud season. Can’t it just be summer for Pete’s sake?!?!
That’s it…I am moving to Mexico.
Okay. Pity party over.
Happy Tuesday. Only 5 more days of school. Can’t wait to do nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I know, I know…
I haven’t posted on this silly blog for over a month. What is going on? Well, we haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth. We are here, just staying silly busy. Isn’t May the craziest month ever? It sure is for us.
Here are a few shots from this month. On top of being insanely busy, I lost my camera charger so I haven’t taken a ton of pictures.
Scott’s 40th birthday. Why doesn’t he look 40? Annoying.
The babies and I at the park in Minturn. They are quickly gaining on me. Doubly annoying.
The love of my life. Still lookin’ good after 17 years….
Three out of four of my babies. They find new ways to play at the park now…and it usually scares me to death!
I promise I will do better with the posting once we are on summer break. Only 6 more days of school! Wahoo!

Spring Break {Fruita, CO}
For the second half of our spring break (the first half was full of boring stuff like cleaning and laundry), we packed up the camper and our bikes and headed to Fruita. Fruita is a small town just a few miles from the Colorado/Utah border. It is most definitely a mountain biking destination. The views are phenomenal and the weather is really gorgeous this time of year. We did a lot of biking and relaxing. Perfect four days….
Mason and I took a break to check out some super cool rock while the others went out on a quick spin…
Sam finishing up a ride. Can you find him up there?
My handsome husband stopping (on a cliff) so I could take some pictures. Right below him (hundreds of feet below him) is the Colorado River.
My boys getting after it on the Rustler Trail.
I like to think that Rosie is my dog but she and Mason are pretty close too:)
Happy Monday!

Easter
Well, as usual, Easter is a pretty low-key holiday around here. We all got up and went to church and then spent the rest of the day just hanging out together. The weather continues to be beautiful so the kids played outside (in shorts) and Scott and I got things ready for camping at the end of the week. We are super stoked to try out our new (to us) camper! We are on our spring break and a little break from school and mommy work is awesome!
Happy Spring, peeps!

Yahoo! Spring has sprung!
Well, for now at least. Snow forecasted for later this week. But…for now we are enjoying the warm weather that is quickly melting all of our snow. There are even buds on the trees!!!!! The kids have really loved riding their bikes and scooters. I especially love running in shorts!
We are happy!
Have a beautiful day!

Archery
Today was gorgeous. It was a great day to be outside (well, who am I kidding? Nearly everyday is a great day to be outside). Anyway, today we took the kids and their new bows to the archery range. It was the first time they shot and they all did great. We focused mostly on the rules of the range and a bit of target practice.
Happy Sunday!

Happy Pi Day!!!!
Heaven on Earth
Mayflower Gulch…..one of my favorite spots on this Earth. It is beautiful in all seasons. Saturday, the weather was gorgeous so we went out on a family snowshoe. Scott and I spotted some good lines so he and I went back on Monday morning for a little backcountry skiing. Unfortunately, the conditions weren’t as good up close but it was another glorious bluebird day.
Happy trails,
Jennifer
